Marlon von Franquemont is a 25-year-old multimedia designer who is currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Advertising at Rotterdam’s Willem de Kooning Academy. “I was always very creative as a young boy,” he says. “I first worked with CorelDRAW when I was just 12 years old, and then I discovered Photoshop and went a bit crazy!”

These days Marlon works with piles of random elements in Photoshop, and aims to create order where there is chaos. “I am very confident about my sense of style,” he says. “For me, design is like a puzzle – you have all the elements you need and you just have to put them together in the right order. The fact that there is more than one solution is what makes it challenging.”
